Heliosa, a luxurious Greek hotel nestled in Crete, draws its inspiration from the rich heritage of the ancient Minoan civilization. The hotel's design embraces the iconic archetype of the Snake Goddess, a powerful symbol of renewal, fertility, and protection in Minoan culture. The colors used throughout the hotel. Earthy tones, deep blues, Minoan crimson & warm golds, are an authentic reflection of this ancient civilization, evoking a sense of timeless beauty and connection to the past.
The vision behind Heliosa is to transport visitors back in time, offering an immersive experience where they can disconnect from the noise of modern life. Guests are invited to surrender to the tranquility, relaxation, and clarity that reign supreme, much like the mighty Zeus and Rhea in the pantheon of gods. At Heliosa, ancient history meets modern luxury, allowing every visitor to embark on a unique journey through time, where serenity and beauty intertwine seamlessly.
Logo Symbolism
The Heliosa logo draws its symbolism from Crete's ancient Minoan Snake Goddess, embodying fertility, renewal, and protection. This figure represents the essence of timeless resilience and beauty, aligning with Heliosa's identity as a blend of cultural heritage and tranquility. The logo captures these qualities by incorporating shapes and forms inspired by Minoan art, suggesting a sense of sophistication and classical allure.

Continuing the vision of Heliosa, the challenge in this project was to find the perfect balance between ancient Minoan symbolism and modern design elements. The task was to honor the rich cultural history of Crete while creating a visual identity that felt contemporary and luxurious.
We worked closely with the hotel’s ethos, ensuring that every detail, from the logo to the color palette, conveyed a sense of timeless elegance without overwhelming the senses. One of the key challenges was capturing the essence of the Snake Goddess, her symbolism of protection and renewal—while keeping the design sophisticated and inviting for a modern audience.

Additionally, sourcing the right materials and textures that would evoke both ancient and luxurious qualities required careful consideration. The earthy tones and Minoan crimson had to be subtle yet impactful, ensuring they resonated with the rich history of the island while also fitting seamlessly into the hotel’s modern aesthetic.
Overall, it was about creating a cohesive narrative through visual design that would immerse guests in an experience of serenity and history, without compromising on the high standards of luxury they expect. The result is a visual identity that speaks to the past, yet feels undeniably of the present.
Towards Morpheus * (Morpheus, in Greek mythology, is the god of dreams, known for shaping and controlling the dreams of mortals. As the son of Hypnos, the god of sleep, Morpheus would appear in human form in dreams to convey messages or visions, often acting as a divine messenger. His name, meaning “form” or “shape,” reflects his ability to create vivid, lifelike dreams, making him an ideal symbol for sleep and the dream world.)

Veda, a serene yoga studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa, draws its name and essence from the profound wisdom of Hindu mythology. In Sanskrit, "Veda" means knowledge, symbolizing the deep connection between body, mind, and spirit that lies at the heart of yoga. The studio’s design and philosophy remain 100% true to the principles of yoga, harmonizing with nature and channeling cosmic energies to create an atmosphere of balance and tranquility.
Every detail in Veda, from the soothing colors to the natural materials, reflects the studio’s dedication to wellness and mindfulness. Here, practitioners can immerse themselves in the ancient discipline of yoga, while embracing the powerful symbolism of nature and the universe. Veda offers a holistic experience where spiritual growth and physical well-being come together in perfect harmony.
The design of the logo is minimalistic and balanced, reflecting the simplicity and serenity that yoga offers. The central motif is an abstract representation of a lotus flower, which symbolizes purity, enlightenment, and spiritual awakening. The lotus is often associated with yoga and meditation, representing the journey of spiritual growth as the flower rises from the muddy waters to bloom, symbolizing the practitioner’s path toward enlightenment and inner peace.
The petals of the lotus are subtly shaped to resemble hands in prayer, reinforcing the connection between mind, body, and spirit. This aspect of the logo highlights the studio’s focus on mindfulness, meditation, and the spiritual aspects of yoga practice.
SYMBOLISM
Lotus Flower: As mentioned, the lotus represents the spiritual journey of growth, transformation, and the awakening of inner wisdom. It’s a powerful symbol of yoga’s holistic approach to healing and personal evolution, encapsulating both physical and spiritual well-being.
Hands in Prayer: The gesture of prayer is a symbol of devotion, respect, and gratitude, core principles in yoga practice. It also reflects the studio's environment of peace, humility, and connection to a higher consciousness.
It’s a visual representation of the studio's ethos: a place where spiritual growth and physical well-being are nurtured in perfect harmony.
COLOR PALETTE
The color palette was carefully chosen to evoke a sense of calm, balance, and natural serenity.
Soft Greens: The green hues represent nature, growth, and renewal. Green is also linked to the heart chakra, symbolizing love, healing, and compassion, all essential elements of yoga practice. The use of green in the logo reinforces the connection between Veda and the natural world, aligning with the studio's ethos of mindfulness and wellness.
Earthy Tones: Warm, earthy tones, such as soft browns and beige, evoke feelings of grounding, stability, and comfort. These colors align with the physical aspect of yoga, which is rooted in balance and earth energy.
Building on the foundation of Veda, the design process involved creating a space that would not only reflect the tranquil philosophy of yoga but also evoke a sense of unity between nature and the cosmic energies. The challenge was to translate the profound concept of spiritual balance into a visual identity that felt peaceful and inviting, yet grounded in the ancient wisdom of yoga.
The key challenge was ensuring that the design conveyed both the serenity of yoga practice and the depth of its philosophical roots. Choosing the right balance of colors, textures, and materials was crucial. The natural tones, soft greens, and calming earth hues were selected to represent both the studio’s connection to nature and the internal calmness yoga aims to foster. We wanted every element, from the logo to the signage, to subtly evoke a sense of flow and energy, like the natural rhythm of breath.
Isariel was a cosmetics company based in Northern Ireland. The brand’s identity blends simplicity and minimalism with a culturally rich essence, rooted in Irish and Celtic traditions while also drawing from the ancient Egyptian and Jewish worlds. This fusion reflects the strength, divinity, and timeless beauty central to the brand.
Martha, the brand owner, envisioned a logo that is simple, minimalist, and luxurious. After exploring several options, she selected this design, which I’m presenting in a range of colors. The name 'Isariel' itself combines two powerful symbols: 'Isis,' the Egyptian goddess of magic and beauty, and 'Ariel,' meaning 'lion of God' in Hebrew, a symbolic name for Jerusalem in Jewish tradition. This name beautifully embodies the brand’s core values, connecting strength, elegance, and a sense of the divine.

Here is the logo for the project. The brand owner, Martha, envisioned a design that is simple, minimalist, and luxurious. After considering several options, she ultimately chose this one, which I am presenting in a variety of colors.
The name "Isariel" itself is a fusion of two powerful symbols: Isis, the Egyptian goddess of magic and beauty, and Ariel, which translates to "lion of God" in Hebrew, a symbolic name for Jerusalem in Jewish tradition. This blend reflects strength, divinity, and timeless beauty, all core values of the brand.
The calming face oil from Isariel Cosmetics is designed to soothe and nourish the skin, reflecting the essence of nature in both its formula and packaging. The warm shade of brown chosen for the product symbolizes the connection to the earth, representing beauty rooted in nature and tranquility.
The minimalist design of the packaging visually conveys the oil's calming and restorative properties, with clean lines and simplicity reflecting the purity and effectiveness of the product itself. This approach ensures that the design complements the product’s natural benefits while delivering a luxurious, elegant feel.
The chosen logo for Isariel Cosmetics reflects a deep connection to both elegance and mystique. The naming draws inspiration from the Irish goddess Morrigan, known as a powerful symbol of beauty, transformation, and strength. As a beauty emissary, Morrigan embodies the essence of empowerment, making her an ideal representation of the brand.
The use of the word "mystique" adds a layer of intrigue and sophistication, creating a contrast that elevates the brand’s identity. The design and color palette were carefully selected to instill a sense of trust and safety, ensuring that clients feel they are investing in the finest, most meticulously crafted cosmetic products available.
The selected logo is a distinctive embodiment of elegance and deep symbolism. Inspired by the Irish goddess Macha, known for her strength, beauty, and sovereignty, the logo positions her as an ideal emissary of beauty. Macha's association with femininity and power makes her a perfect symbol to represent our brand's commitment to empowering women. The incorporation of the word "mystique" adds an intriguing contrast, enhancing the allure and depth of the brand's identity.
The design, colors, and naming were meticulously crafted to make clients feel safe and confident that they are purchasing the finest and most precise cosmetic products. The duo pack features a 50ml face cleanser and a 50ml daily day cream, both enriched with acorn extract. The chosen color palette reflects the natural essence of the products, symbolizing the purity of oil, acorn, and other botanical wonders. These earthy tones emphasize the natural ingredients and the botanical magic infused in each product.
This logo differs from previous designs, showcasing the company's expansive spirit and its limitless commitment to noble and aesthetic excellence. The unique blend of ancient symbolism and modern design principles highlights our dedication to creating products that transcend traditional boundaries. Suitable for women of all ages, this product line bridges timeless beauty with contemporary elegance, allowing every woman to feel connected to something both ancestral and exquisitely refined.

Additional colors were thoughtfully incorporated to ensure a smooth visual flow, breaking away from conventional design boundaries. At Mozzart, art transcends limitations, and the culinary experience embodies the ultimate fusion of creativity and non-conformity.
The Mozzart logo is a unique hand-drawn creation, not derived from any existing font, but the result of meticulous research, countless sketches, and thoughtful refinement. Its geometric elegance and balanced forms subtly evoke the musical harmony of Mozart’s compositions, merging aesthetic beauty with precision to embody the refined yet timeless spirit of the brand.

L'élaphe is a luxury French patisserie in the heart of Paris, where tradition seamlessly meets modernity. In French, "l'élaphe" refers to a type of deer, specifically the red deer (Cervus elaphus). Our brand embodies a fusion of the old and the new, a contemporary reimagining of classic elegance, making refined indulgence accessible to all, without boundaries or social distinctions. After all, perhaps that's the best way to avoid a second French Revolution!
Rooted in "French Blue," symbolizing the sky, beauty, and dreams, our color palette celebrates harmony, diversity, and the core values of the French Republic. We offer a curated selection of products with unique designs and varied price points, ensuring there's something exquisite for everyone.
Our mission is to craft creations that are as visually captivating as they are delicious, perfectly complementing the refined flavors our pastry artisans bring to life each day, a true balance of beauty and taste.
L'élaphe symboliquement
In a symbolic sense, “l’élaphe,” or the red deer, represents nobility, abundance, and the harmonious relationship between nature and craft—qualities also treasured in the world of French bakery and pastry. The red deer, an animal revered in French culture and often associated with the mythic wilds of the Ardennes and Vosges forests, embodies an ancient connection to the land and seasons. Just as the red deer lives off the land’s gifts, a French boulanger or pâtissier draws from nature’s bounty to create artisanal bread and delicate pastries that nourish and delight. Historically, the red deer was seen as a royal and mystical creature, even appearing in the coat of arms and legends from the Middle Ages. This symbolism aligns with the traditional baker’s role in French communities: a respected artisan whose craft is woven deeply into the cultural fabric, bringing warmth, sustenance, and a touch of everyday magic to people’s lives.
Why Blue and not Red ?
This choice has nothing to do with the Matrix metaphor of the blue and red pills, the client wasn't Neo nor Morpheus. The client selected blue for his brand to evoke calm, trust, and sophistication, qualities that reflect our vision of refined craftsmanship and elegance. While l'élaphe is known as the red deer, symbolizing vitality and strength, blue offers a modern interpretation of tradition, softening the red deer’s energy to create a more serene, welcoming atmosphere. Blue also resonates with the French cultural landscape, evoking images of clear skies and the waters that frame France’s natural beauty. By combining the symbol of l'élaphe with blue, we unite the strength and nobility of the deer with a tranquil, timeless aesthetic, perfectly capturing the spirit of a French bakery and pastry shop that respects tradition while embracing contemporary charm.
Halthy is a Burger & Shakes restaurant located in Porto, Portugal. The client wanted to create something bold, quirky, and slightly unconventional, using vibrant, flashy colors that would instantly catch the eye of visitors. After several design iterations, the logo was finalized, and Mr. George was fully satisfied.
The name "Halthy" is a clever fusion of two words: "Halt," inspired by a scene in a historical film where a Roman legionnaire commanded his troops to stop, symbolizing the restaurant as a place to pause and relax amidst the bright orange tones and delicious burgers. The second word, "Healthy," highlights the restaurant's focus on healthier options. Thus, "Halt" + "Healthy" became Halthy, a place to take a break and enjoy wholesome, flavorful food.
